Wondering how everyone seemingly has no trouble pronouncing “Tolle”? Asking for a friend.
One last Sun game (and The last Sun game)…really going to miss this.
Best part of hop on/off bus? Bird’s eye view of transport infrastructure. (This is Quebec City).
Okay, UMass pummeling a Big Ten(ish) team was not on my bingo card.
I have been captivated the past couple of years watching Jackie and Shadow show us what it is to be eagles. Last year, I couldn’t help but marvel while flying over Big Bear Lake, knowing that those two were soaring somewhere down below. Fly free, Jackie.
After a weeks-long battle with a mysterious illness, Big Bear’s beloved bald eagle Jackie has died. Read more: https://www.latimes.com/environment/story/2026-08-10/jackie-arguably-worlds-most-famous-bald-eagle-dies-after-weeks-of-treatment?utm_medium=social&utm_source=bluesky_
Had tickets to see Soul Asylum in 1995 and missed the show because I was sick as a dog. But, here we are 31 years later at Off the Rails.
Wow - what a couple of minutes for England and Bellingham especially. Was a really evenly matched game and them bam, 2-0.
Guess I won’t be wearing that German soccer kit I picked up in Berlin during the Eurocup…
This is a different kind of team than I’ve seen from the US before. Really impressive performance so far.
Not exaggerating, I saw at least 20 people biking or on scooters on my way home tonight. Kids, commuters, families, rec riders…you name it. This narrative that nobody bikes has to stop.
Hi @jtkantor.bsky.social How do ya feel about Rilo Kiley?
Anxious to hear from our Brown U. And Providence friends. This is not normal. It is not okay. We are the only “advanced” country on the planet that accepts this as unavoidable, over and over again.
I never post about local politics for obvious reasons. But only one woman elected to City Council? Regardless of how you feel about any of the individual candidates, that is not a good outcome.
Yes! Go Mariners!!! Amazing how a pastime turns into the most amazing sport in October.
Commuting by WRTA this morning. Bus was on time and fare free - Can’t beat that! Have a bit of a walk from the hub to work, but it’s a perfect morning for it. (1/2) #WeekWithoutDriving
Beautiful day to commute by bike. 15 min door to door mostly along Pleasant St, which is just about the same as it takes by car. Evening return is always a bit rougher…heavier traffic and less patient drivers. (1/2).
Week without driving is happening again in Worcester! Sep 29 - Oct 5. No minimum! Try one trip, one day, maybe the whole week not using your car and share the experience with friends, social media, or elected officials. Please sign up if you can! walkbikeworcester.org/week-without...
In the Fulton Market neighborhood of Chicago this AM having coffee and watching more people commute in by bike and scooter than by car. Bonus points: Metra trains every few minutes. #HappyPlace
East Bay Bike Path and Colt State Park in Bristol, RI today. Wow - what a beautiful, albeit busy, trail. Saw osprey, egrets, a heron, cormorants, gulls, turkeys, bunnies, muskrats, and a (very nearby) deer! Highly recommended.
Great use of street art in Worcester’s Main South to beautify the area, build community, & improve safety for all. TY Main South CDC for securing the grant & organizing this event. Glad Worcester DTM could offer support. Looking forward to its completion next week. PC David Jerry. #streetsforpeople
Beautiful day along the Mass Central Rail Trail. Rode the Rutland-Barre section today.
Later in the season than usual, but happy to see fireflies out tonight.
Tens of Thousands in Boston for Pride/No Kings. Celebrating, supporting, protesting. And nobody was paid to be there.
