It's screenshot saturday, the best day of the week on bluesky cause all the game devs (try) to post updates on their projects! For my friends who aren't familiar, take a lil peek at #screenshotsaturday
still debug visualizations, but i just added a face translation tool to my level editor. you can now almost build basic blockouts with this thing so im excited to get more working before moving on to even more complex stuff like texturing! 🤞🤞🤞 #leveldesign #godotengine #gamedev
I'm so psyched for this game! It was one of my favorite demos from this last NextFest!
We really like✨summer horror vibes✨
so... im working on a level editor now because i miss hammer. here's an early vid of the clipping tool working with debug visualizations. watch this space if you also yearn for the days of old CSG #leveldesign #godotengine #gamedev (does this tag even apply if its an app for gamedevs?)
If zombies were a metaphor for being alienated from the majority of people, liminal horror is a metaphor the oppressive structural system we've noclipped into and will likely never escape.

Here are 3 games I've played with less than 100 reviews on steam! QRP with yours #indieswith<100 - Block Shop (automation puzzle game) - Game Time Glizzy's (restaurant job sim) - They See Us (crewlike IOOD-like hybrid)

I love people who play indie games, but also I'm always a little disappointed when I see people saying "I love indie games, my favorites are: *insert the biggest and most popular indie games of the last 5 years and nothing else*" I wish more people would search for gems, not just play the biggies.
Getting close to Halloween again so check out this series of screenshots that tell a story about a really scary screensaver program.

A former colleague released a demo for his 3D puzzle game made in UE! It's such a chill/calm experience. Right now the outlook is bleak (6 player peak on the demo), but I hope that changes cause it's _gorgeous_ and so satisfying. store.steampowered.com/app/3897520/Pazleum/ 🙏 #indiedev #indiegamedev

No screenshot saturday for me this weekend. I'm laboring in the art mines on an <i>awesome</i> commission with a hard deadline this week. I'll cook up a fun project peek for you (I already know what I wanna share) for next weekend!
It's not Saturday, but I'm trying. Here's a little "beauty lighting" I've been experimenting with on the terminal. A nice little bloom there giving it a bit of nostalgic glow. Btw, this is the first screenshot since I switched to Forward+! #screenshotsaturday #solodev #UE5 #projectdatamind
@eternalskiestcg.bsky.social Just want to thank you for all the work you put in on making great feeds. I look at your feeds more than anything else on Bluesky!
This week I made a time manager! It's cool for coding reasons, but it also inspired me to add some details to the input decks. The screens, bars, & locks will all animate in conjunction with the larger system! These decks are inspired by AV equipment racks! #solodev #indiedev #UE5 #projectdatamind
There's not much to see in project data mind yet, but the starbox is one thing worth sharing. (However, everything you see is subject to change!) Consider this my first (and belated) #screenshotsaturday #solodev #indiedev #UE5 #projectdatamind
What I've learned today is that I've failed one of the best colors: warm green. I'm really looking forward to experimenting in that range. Template linked in the replies! #the_color_wheel
This visual roadmap that @pebloop.dev made has been on my mind for the past two days. It's a great tool for sharing with the public, but doubles as an accountability tool. Do any of you other solo devs out there have roadmaps like this that you share publicly?
Remake of my roadmap, a bit less ugly x) Currently working on the v1.1 ! #indiegame #sologamedev #gamedev #alltogether
This this this!! Game making is the yes where novel writing was the thing I thought I wanted.
Chances are, if you want to create but hate the process of working at getting there, then you might simply not have found the right medium for you. Want to create stories but hate trying to paint a picture with words? Consider trying visual art. You're probably CLOSE to the right thing but not there
Between Bluesky, Twitch, & certain communities on Discord, it feels to me like a golden age for indie game devs. Like the old days of ConceptArt dot org. There are tons of awesome creative individuals working hard & supporting each other. I expect to see clusters of these devs finding success.
This is where I am. New book in the making. Thousand words a day if I can. They don’t have to be good words.
