Seen a lot of people call this "attention seeking." Chronic illness can absolutely drive someone to explore this option. Instead of parasocially griping online that you think someone you don't know wants attention, check in on the disabled people you DO know, and make sure they're doing okay.

I hope the situation with Max G. isn't dismissed because of his past or present controversies. This is a man being driven to ene his life (not wholly, but crucially) due to the failures of our healthcare system. We only know about it because he's planning to do it legally.

I see that we're now at the "using big words in your book is ableism" point in the degradation of media literacy. You have in your hand a device that can pull up the definition of any word, dictionaries exist. If you don't know a word, look it up. What the hell has happened to curiosity??

I feel like people shouldn't be able to perpetuate myths about a whole category of people and still be taken seriously in their career fields. I've heard these talking points parroted by so many people who are supposed to know better.
