Monday hike @ MN River Valley Nat’l Wildlife Refuge. Old Cedar Ave Trailhead. Just a bit over 4 miles along the Long Meadow Lake Trail…heading easterly downriver, out n back. Pretty quiet … plenty of cars at the trailhead but only saw a guy running with his pooch.

I know it’s really nothing in light of current events…but it’s 44°f @ 10:55pm , & I’m sitting on my porch listening to the City of Stillwater spending my tax $$$ with public works clearing snow from the edges of Main Street. Snow that will melt in the next 2 days.

One of them was released but the other 3 are being held at Fort Snelling, a former concentration camp used to imprison Native people incl. the Dakota 38 during Dakota Wars. ictnews.org/news/north-c...
