“You have to let go and let the universe play out. If you do feel that hunger to fulfill yourself as an artist, do something for theatre or on Youtube – something that will empower you. Show business is unpredictable right now, but as an artist, you can still find a pathway.”

I'm definitely lucky to have been able to pursue my career, but I've also sacrificed a TON for it. I guess you could say that about pretty much anyone, but I'm the "main character" in my story 😉😂

Thanks to everyone who has been checking out and sharing these two articles! You know how much I love both ILM and Star Trek, so this two-parter is very special to me. Your kindness means a great deal! 🖖🏻

In Part 2, I'm joined by ILM legends Ken Ralston, John Knoll, Kim Smith, and Roger Guyett, along with Star Trek hero Dan Curry! We take you from ILM's work on The Next Generation through Into Darkness, with a little Star Wars sprinkled in 😉 www.ilm.com/ilm-celebrat...

I'm celebrating Star Trek Day by sharing my new article about the shared history between Industrial Light & Magic and Star Trek! Given my special connections to both ILM and Star Trek, I was incredibly honored to assemble this tribute... and this is only Part One! 🖖🏻 www.ilm.com/ilm-celebrat...

I realize it's a tiny detail in ILM's huge body of Star Trek work... but I asked John Knoll about the Millennium Falcon model used in the distant background of the Battle of Sector 001 in First Contact. I had to know! 😃🖖🏻

Happy Star Trek Day! You may have caught me writing about Star Trek for StarTrek.com, ILM.com, Roddenberry.com, Star Trek Explorer, or Star Trek Magazine in recent years, but my love for Star Trek goes back as far as I can remember 🖖🏻

I haven't even mentioned this out loud, but I've been keeping an open mind in case there are any adoptions available that involve multiple dogs... and Instagram just recommended a post to me that has two dogs cuddled up with the caption, "Get both dogs." 😂

Okay, so perhaps I spent an hour looking at dogs available for adoption today. I didn't apply for any, but I looked!

Star Trek has been a huge part of both my life and my career, and I'm very grateful for it as we approach its 60th anniversary.

Me: That one college football player looks like he has some gray hair. It must be the lighting. Broadcaster: And there's [I forget the name], the oldest player in college football, at 28 years old... Me: Or it's naturally gray 😂

Okay, so perhaps I spent an hour looking at dogs available for adoption today. I didn't apply for any, but I looked!

Reporter: What are your keys to the game for the second half? Football Coach: We really have to limit the points that our opponent scores, and if I'm being honest, we have to score more points too. We simply have to score more points than them by the end of the game, if we want to win. 🏈

You'll never convince me that I'm not the best promoter ever.
