Well, Bluesky has managed to chase two important voices off its platform, either through berserker moderation or choosing to roll with pile-ons from shitty people. I'm not sure how much use this place is if it's gonna be just as bad as every other social media site in the aspects that matter.

I only knew Shayy in passing — I got put in a GDQ room with him once like 7 years ago and they seemed all right then — so I don't have any comment on that situation other than I'm appalled. But I have to note that this is yet another case in a very bad pattern that I've noticed way too much.
