One of the things I find odd about UK skills and jobs policies over the last 10 years is the idea that - for young people - place is destiny. It's like we've taken the Brexit memo and double stamped it into meaning you need to stay put to be a success. The geographical footprint of the UK is *tiny*

🌱 starting to bring the cured garlic in. They’re going to stay in the shoe box until called to do service in the kitchen. I have a theory re: why soft neck keeps better… is it because the layers in the soft neck dry out better and faster? if anyone knows please tell me. 😅

A cardboard shoebox with around 24 bulbs of garlic that have been trimmed and still have a bit of dirt on them.

Philadelphus shrub (mock orange) with branches going up vertical-diagonally with green leaves and white blossoms A tray with several Kilner (Bell) jars filled with the beginning stage of kimchi-chopped cabbage, radishes, green onion, and some chopped carrot. The tray is sitting on a lime green table and has an orange edge, so somewhat echoes the colours in the kimchi, but that was a happy accident.
