Titled “Reconciling Time: in pursuit of Tomorrow with dreams of Liberty in hand,” these nine works of banner art by sāgar kāmath capture the evolution of democracy, liberty, and curiosity from the past (red), present (blue), and future (yellow). The artworks will be un displayed through this year!

1/4 For a few days at the end of September in 2015, the Ben Franklin Bridge was closed to motor vehicles. This took place because of Pope Francis’ historic visit, which saw many of Philly’s roadways closed to vehicular traffic and under high security.

I can’t help but think how far $15 million would’ve gone, if given to local, independent event producers and programs, who could’ve done incredible stuff with Philadelphians all year long.

From now through August 1, experience “Wings and Water: The Space Between,” a powerful community-driven art installation at Cherry Street Pier. Created by resident artist Duwenavue Santé Johnson (aka ArtXStitch) and hundreds of artists from Philly and around the country.
