i know talking about AI is insanely oversaturated and there are no fresh takes so i come instead with a crumb of schadenfreude in the form of watching someone rapidly destroy their job because they're communicating every piece of feedback solely in 5 paragraph LLM outputs and everybody hates them
Been getting a lot of positive feedback at work about how diplomatic I am and how well I give and receive feedback and I just wanna say THANKS, I've been running guilds for a decade now and nothing any of you can say or do will ever top the depths of human depravity I've witnessed in a video game

In design, picking The Good Font is maybe 2% of the job - the rest is problem-solving, having plenty of tricks up your sleeve to draw from when you're being creative on demand, and acknowledging (begrudgingly, perhaps) that not every form of criticism you don't like to hear is invalid and wrong
Justin Đoàn@soundaholism.bsky.social · 2mo agoI've been thinking a lot about visible vs invisible skill layers. i.e every craft has outer layers of skills that laypeople can recognise, and inner layers that you need expertise and experience to perceive at all. Could y'all think of examples of visible vs invisible skills in your own discipline?

a cool thing that's happening as I print more is seeing small imperfections and recognizing it as character, which is an idea that definitely has no greater implications whatsoever, nothing to see here!!!
