This is an excellent primer on the brutal history of post-13th amendment prison labor. As the need for workers to do backbreaking work continues to increase, this is only going to get worse. You better believe this is part of why the administration keeps boasting about new prison construction.

After some thought, I didn’t really like the Odyssey. It was a very bad adaption of Homer’s epic. Like, I knew Nolan was gonna do his thing but he clearly a) sucks as a writer and b) doesn’t know shit about Greek Mythology. There were some moments I liked, such as Athena being done but otherwise meh
