Actually hate term “friendslop” when referring to a game/genre; and it just shows your contempt/hate for games of that type if they dabble that sort of thing. Showcases how disingenuous you are in critique because I know you are not using term in complimentary manner. You use in a derogatory way.

In our little cottage industry, stereotyping Romani as thieves and witches in TTRPGs continues, sometimes under a thin fantasy veneer, sometimes with full slurs involved. It needs to called out more often than it is.

There was no state given to them after the war. Commemoration of their suffering is often diminished or forgotten. Racism towards Romani people across Europe remains acceptable.

Batman Caped Crusader season 2 wrapped up and it remains one of the more fresh takes on the matter. Going to be interesting seeing which fans get upset at the reimagining of characters.
Compound this with seasons being "at best" 2 years apart where any sort of interest momentum has been dead and buried. And also for, again at best, 10 episodes? We're back to weekly releases because shows have lost any sense of permanence too. I'm sorry, it's just trash for everyone involved.
Casey Explosion@caseyexplosion.bsky.social · 5d agoStreaming services are in a hell of their own design, because they've trained their audiences to never get invested in new shows because they'll just end up getting cancelled. I'm still mad Netflix cancelled that amazing Dark Crystal show, but it teaches you one thing; never get invested.
I wonder how those artists I stopped following because they were cool with AI when it was writing/roleplaying are doing. Still probably only concerned with art scraping, because often people only care about what impacts themselves. But still, I like hoping at times.

Please, please people understand the difference between criticism and opinion. You do not have to be a critic, you are allowed to just have an opinion. Please stop pretending that it is a flaw of craft that a story does not progress the way you want it to. Just say, "I wish this happened instead"
