Oh, hi! Here’s more random MSX stuff. I finally have a working gamepad. It’s a mega drive / Genesis generic gamepad connected via a pin adapter. Works great!! This is R-Type.

Hey, I'm a Brazilian geek that likes to make videos about builds, repairs, retro and non retro computer parts and games. https://www.youtube.com/sucra
The IBM PS/2 E was the first energy star computer. IBM used an odd mashup of tech to build it. And it was short-lived. One major publication published a big story about it the month after IBM discontinued it. Yes, after. dfarq.homeip.net/ibm-ps-2-e-t... #retrocomputing #vintagecomputing

Sales were modest but with this PC, IBM gave a glimpse of what the future held

I told you I was going to over post on MSX stuff didn’t I? Well this is Final Fantasy there. It’s so slow in the MSX2. Probably designed for the MSX2+.
And now I’m taking up scaling a bit too far. This is Aleste 2 with the MSX2 and the OSSC via hdmi on a 42” plasma TV.
Hi! It’s your Brazilian geek again with a other MSX2 post. I’ve been trying to use disk games with the MSX Pico, I had some success. I still haven’t managed to run Snatcher. This rom was named Princess, but I don’t really know what the full name actually is.
I borrowed an OSSC from a friend to try with the MSX2. Boy, looks glorious. This is Treasure of Usas. I still need to figure out the gamepad solution. Non of my gamepads work well with the adapter I got. But so far I’m enjoying every minute.
I might be over posting with MSX things for the next couple of weeks while I’m still over hyped about it. This is Maze of Galious, beautiful game and music btw.
My Japanese MSX2 lives! Finally I got the combination to test it. Power supply, pico flash cart. I need to try it with a crt monitor, but the output right now is a single composite cable for video, so I still have that to figure out and also a gamepad solution. @riksrandomretro.com you’re the best!
I have an unused mini PC I want to try and turn into a bare metal emulated Amiga. Tinkering time, and let's see where we get on stream! Starting tonight at 8 PM CT youtube.com/live/zDTOTmw...

I saw this box of tapes for the Spectrum in a shop inside a gallery in Manchester. I’m not a Spectrum guy, but hey, pretty cool!
Currently walking around Lisbon, went in a mall and was surprised to see there were 2 big media stores. A Fnac and a Worten, both fully loaded with latest tech, video game consoles and still some media. It’s so cool to see that. Found the recent release of the spectrum in both of them, so cool!
Touring another quaint English town, Todmorden. I just had to walk in a couple I charity shops. One had a selection of computer games in dvd boxes. Grabbed one I had never heard of, map included!! Look @pixelpipes.bsky.social that bus simulation game haunting me again.
Something else I got in this trip. A used Rog Ally. Got it at CEX, I could’ve gotten it on eBay for a bit less, but they have a 5 year warranty that I gladly payed extra for. I’ve been slowly digging into my steam, epic and gog library and checking out what works the best on it.
So I found some other things in the streets of Preston, UK. Nothing that enticed me enough. Thought about picking up the collection and the loose The Dig CD.
In continuation of my UK run, I’ve found a big box PC game out in the wild while scouting some charity shops. I’m happy to have found this windows 95 pack!
Found a couple of things I wanted to try in CEX at Macclesfield in the UK. I’ve been looking for an N64 expansion pack for a while, I found a good deal finally. I just love scouting these spots out for retro when I travel.
Hey everyone. I’m currently on vacation in the UK. Stopped by some cherish shops in my cousin’s town (Macclesfield). Nothing em charity shops so far for me. But at least I did bump into some games.
Not long ago I picked up a Mac clone, the Umax SuperMac c600, and it's about time we load it up with some games and test it out. Insert your favorite Attack of the Clones joke! Starting tonight at 8 PM CT. youtube.com/live/mOijUj7...

My friend @www-br.bsky.social has been adding more and more functionality into his cardputer including monitoring of his home server and this cool synthwave screensaver.
Explain your @ Way back in the 90s when we roamed around IRC servers we all needed some kind of handle. One day I was eating Frosted Flakes while about to login. So I decided to use that and never turned back. Sucra is short for Sucrilhos, which is what we call Frosted Flakes in Brazil. 🇧🇷
Explain your @ I’m a geek named Kate 🤷♀️ Don’t really love the handle anymore but it was my original Twitter @ from 2008
Nice and pretty single slot again. I’ll see about getting that desoldering station. I’m tired of roughing the caps out.
It’s such a nice video card. An ATI HD 4850, single slot with a heavy copper cooler. It wasn’t feeling very well so I tried a cooler with more airflow. I might try swapping the caps on it but it probably just suffers from ATIs natural unreliability. I’m putting it’s original cooler back on now.
Has anybody had any experience with the Hikari hk-915 desoldering station? I'd love to get the Hakko Fr-301, but it costs 4x more than this here so I'm looking for an alternative.
Every single day apple notifies me that 1. my iCloud is full and 2. It can’t backup my phone. How the hell do I sign out of this crap? I don’t want it. I don’t need a backup, I do my own backup, Jesus.
And here’s the front part of that system. Don’t mind me carrying my friend while he ate cotton candy for some reason. It was an Athlon 64 3200 (754) with a Radeon 9600 pro.
I can’t play 10 min of the Witcher 3, I get bored out of my mind.
i've seen too many good video game opinions today, time for some bad ones what is your take that will have you like this?
I saw a different bird today, @jikissgamer.bsky.social. I have no idea what it is.
Share your unpopular gaming opinions! I can’t understand what is so fun about Pokémon. No matter how many titles I buy, and try out, I still find them boring.
Share your unpopular gaming opinions! Me first... I've given it a fair go, but I just don't think Chrono Trigger is very good, sorry! 😐️
