Mantises change their eye color (and light sensitivity) at night by transporting pigments from the surface of each compound eye unit toward the deeper eye region. Yeah it's like, people *will* look at Lord of The Rings, with good reason because it *is* good. But they forget that Tolkien didn't use Lotr to make Lotr, he had outside influences, lived experience, research. People need to look at history, they need to look at their everyday lives more.
