I get tired of saying it, but I’ll say it again: the nature of oppression in America is that they workshop it first on Black, Latino, Asian & Native people. But it is always, in the end, coming for everyone.

Can all of us #uglydogs today just agree - not to? Not all things need to be discussed and talked about publicly. Maybe this is one of those we choose not to talk about, huh?

Izzy is a whopping 11 pounds and yet somehow just managed to eat half of a really large cucumber before I caught on. That’s honestly impressive. Clean up later may not be fun though.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show opened on US screens 50 years ago today. Initially a major box office bomb, cult cinema outsiders and queer audiences quickly took up the film’s mantle and turned it into a unique and exciting way of engaging with the movies. Remember kids, don’t dream it—be it!!
Why on earth does anything that happens with this stupid kidney stone, it’s at 7AM almost on the dot? Seriously. That’s when I first felt it. It moved the other morning at 7:03 and this morning at 7:02. Maybe not a big deal to some of you, but I normally get up at 9 and I am NOT a morning person.
Reading today, I see people still don’t understand that the rule of law has to apply equally to everyone equally, or it will apply to no one. It has to apply to Comey, to trump, to you, and to your favorite pet politicians *who like the stripper, really do like you.* This is why we are here.

I swear Izzy thinks I’m eating something when I take my temperature. She’s immediately awake and quite put out that I don’t share.
Somehow I made it through this round of staff cuts. I honestly didn’t expect to.
Wish people would stop saying Trump has done a U-turn on Ukraine. He does this every few weeks. Putin then makes a violent point of ignoring him. Trump's alleged change of heart is just a prelude to his next humiliation by Putin.
Istg, it took longer to travel to the hospital (let alone round trip) to pick up my records than it actually took for them to pull my records and give me a copy. They did call the dr’s office lazy though so there’s that. 🤣 At least everyone I’ve dealt with from the ER to today have been super nice.
In other news, I’m really over the continuously sudden MUST PEE NOW that is happening.
It’s the little frustrations w medical offices that might drive me batty. Dr: Have the hospital fax or email your files to us. Hospital - we need a faxed request from the dr’s office. Dr - we don’t do that. They should just send it over. H - we don’t do that. Guess who is going in person tomorrow?
So I’ve been slightly paranoid about checking my temp since my sister got a major infection when she had kidney stones. I freaked myself out because it was up to 99.8. Then I had a moment of clarity and realized I had a light blanket on me and was a little warm. Took it off and now all is good. Oy
Question as I brace myself for how bad this is going to hurt. If it’s supposedly on par with childbirth, why are you only prescribed extra powerful Motrin for the pain and not something stronger???

Lemme spell it out. Trump's only leverage over Jimmy Kimmel and ABC came from FCC regulation. His direct power over H1-B visas gives him similar leverage over tech, higher ed, and others.

Replacing rules with arbitrary discretion. Want visas? You know who to call and who to flatter.

I know BTS’ managers love the members. I know they love Tae. They also probably want to smack him right now as every other manager for every other group is blowing up their phones trying to get in on the live.
I can‘t believe people are getting so mad about @angryblacklady.bsky.social saying that you shouldn’t register for a protest. Just show up. Don‘t register.
Trying the hormone patch. We’ll see how it goes. Fingers crossed it helps my emotions because whew they aren’t fun.
My (probably wildly inaccurate) guess is that we’re getting a single or fan song about them coming home (or wanting to come home) from the military. This will happen after Jin’s tour and he has a chance to record his parts if he hasn’t already.
