My mom gifted my kitties a new cat tree. I put it in the living room temporarily while I figured out where it could live but they love it so much they won't leave it alone long enough for me to move it lol. Even Junior!

Currently losing my mind bc I dont know how to deal with my aging parents bc we live in the global south. We dont have any facilities that is comparable even 20% of what americans are used to. But if i dont step up theyll die, and i dont want that. Idk I just feel so alone and helpless

In the past 4 weeks I have had 2 days off and one of those was because the wildfire smoke was so bad they cancelled work and the other one I was running an event so it wasn't exactly restful. Tomorrow I have off, then another week or so of work. So... 3 days off total in 5 weeks. I am so tired

Oh my god? Apparently the cat who has been pulling leaves off of my house plants and chewing on them* is JUNIOR and not Bisque like I thought???? I just saw him crunching something and was like? And then he jumped up and tried to grab another leaf!!!

since i'm talking about zines today, go make one! preferably printed. collect sketchbook pages, loose drawings, writings, shitty comics. it will teach you about the feel of paper types, spread design, the psychological/narrative of montage. edit at the end. then make another one

Tornado sirens just went off... It's over now, but I'm always afraid... If I was actually hit, would I be able to protect the cats? I can't crate all 4 quickly. I can only get 3/4 in the basement voluntarily but then they aren't contained. Times like these I wish I had someone else in the house

This weekend at the bakery there was a grandpa with his grandson and grandpa lifted the kid up over the bread wall so that he could watch me pipe roses. The little kid, all wide eyed with wonder, then declared "I'm gonna be a baker when I grow up!" It was all so cute and wholesome haha

I made some simple syrup with chai spices and sometimes when I'm in a mood for chai but don't actually want tea, I heat up a little milk with some of the syrup and froth it. It's very nice!

Okay maybe tmi but how come "ladies" boxers are always high-waisted? My favorite from my favorite company (which is back now apparently) sits right at the top of my hip bone and everything else I've ever tried goes way up to your natural waist with maaaaybe a 1" inseam. I want the opposite.
