This job search period is crazy. The stress of going from application to application. The lack of interviews. Almost feels like nothing is working. But you keep pushing and saying that "hey, it's going to be better soon. God's got you." And you still fight yet another day. This too shall pass.

Two-state, tri-state, four-state...why should we concern ourselves with this anyway? I say users should not get this for free at all; therefore, I introduced a new mode in this article called capitalism mode ✅ codepen.io/editor/sunka... #css

Was researching for an upcoming article on the light/dark/system debate and what do you know? The TabAtkins was converted too? This just got super interesting.
I'm converted too, fwiw. Great reasoning here.
More options: - dark blue with a chance of meatballs - purple because why not? - white, but with a splash of vanilla cake - black like a sausage roll burnt a bit in the oven - blinding like the rays from the sun

I think it's the joke phase of it that I find the most entertaining. It feels like pre-AI era of banter of "which framework is the best?"
I certainly see it as a friendly back and forth (we're starting to get into the joke phase of it now). In this current climate of slop output and skill erosion, seeing professionals experimenting with and analysing a small interface pattern at length is a very welcome change of pace.
Successfully moved from Vercel to Cloudfare. I love Vercel, but I wish I did this earlier. Especially with the high price tag Vercel has and commercial requirements pertaining to my product. We are not just there quite yet.
I love this so much and I think it's really impressive. My only worry with solutions like this is the bundle size in a real world use case that happens after or that won't be a problem, right?

Why does it default to this though? Does Claude/Codex really think vanilla is often the better pick than using frameworks/libraries? I've tried it myself one time and unless specified, it would default to vanilla HTML/CSS/JS.
I ran a prompt for a completely new website without specifying *anything* about client-side architecture, just "keep code lean, modern, and elegant", curious to see whether Claude would use React. Apparently, to Claude "lean, modern, and elegant" meant "use no frameworks". Interesting. 🤔
The demand, unfortunately, is no longer in how well you write and understand code; it is in building and understanding complex architectural systems and agents to speed up product workflow or make your service "AI-friendly". We must prepare for it while still maintaining quality
Wow!!!
To target multiple classes with the same prefix, you'd typically have to resort to brittle attribute selectors. To make things easier, CSS is getting a new selector: the “Class Prefix Selector” (`.foo-*`). Check brm.us/class-prefix... to get the details. (Browser Support: None 😛 — just resolved!)

I currently recognize @css-questions.bsky.social' frequent users by name. Glad to have y'all in the community tbh! I want to organize a nice CSS tournament, but before it goes live, we need a couple of testers. 10, to be exact. If you love CSS, come join the funnnnn! 💯
I honestly wonder how useful this will be. References are mostly from CSS-Tricks and MDN and yes, we still need feedback on those questions.
We cooked up something special for y'all. Now, you can practice and test your skills on experimental and baseline CSS features, making sure they stick faster for your everyday frontend work.🎉 css-questions.com/css-features #css #cssquestions
