Played "Mage Knight Dungeons" again after 20 years and after buying some very, very cheap pieces on Vinted and it was so cool: replayability, constant changes, random enemies, a "build your own dungeon" mechanic... Making "Mage Knight" simpler was a great idea. And it spawned "Heroclix" so, yeah!

Hear me out. This game needs a thread. Miami Nights: Singles in the City for DS. A whatever dating sim in the vein of Singles and a diluted version of the Sims, right? SO. WRONG. The game is a baffling lap victory for capitalism, filled with fatshaming, illegal job requests and AWFUL messages.

It took me more than 25 years to discover that Falco Lombardi is a freaking pheasant. Now I have a new card to make.

One day someone rang the doorbell of small Milanese studio Milestone with a CD. On it, there was a simple 3D car demo and someone had an idea. The release of the smash hit 1995 classic Screamer and how the game came from the humble origins of IDEA Software.

Don't get me wrong, I love "Ocarina". But "Muramasa" takes the biggest slice of this big but not that tasty Direct cake. I'm so happy to see Wii jewels back.

While easy to be interested in unreleased games, sometimes released games have their share of drama too. Heart of Darkness, the spiritual sequel to Another World, took almost six years of development, with the game going through the 3DO, Saturn and Jaguar CD. In the end, Eric Chahi was exhausted.

Xyphoes Fantasy by Silmarils is a good lookin' MF. For 1991 this is as good as Amstrad CPC games could look. A mix of Strider, Barbarian and Forgotten Worlds with rocking music, decent framerate (bit wonky) and some HUGE sprites. If I saw it maybe I wouldn't have made fun of that kid with the CPC...
