I'd say Rebel Heart is Madonna's most underrated album. It's a great album, but it doesn't get a whole load of attention. (American Life is just a fantastic album, but it's not underrated because everyone loves it, but they all think nobody else does)

This is me with bechamel or similar flour-based sauces (which I make at least fortnightly). The point when it becomes an actual sauce and not a congealed mess is always glorious and slightly surprising.

You can/should read Emily Wilson's latest take on the Odyssey, but I'm logging on to convey my hairdresser's reaction. She was AGHAST that Nolan, with his million $ budget, gave Matt Damon ONLY 6 hair extensions. As a result, his hair did not blow around properly, & that ruined the film for her.

I rewatched "Smiley" on Netflix this week, and it remains very good. Although, I will say that the main plot is the least interesting thing about it, but still a good (albeit predictable) queer story (and with plenty of eye candy).

On clothing in particular, a lot of people look at nasty fast fashion crap that falls apart almost immediately because it is specifically designed to be worn once and thrown away and act like that's the only cheap clothing that exists, completely ignoring (unfashionable) durable basics.

Vimes's theory *as it applies to actual clothing* is voiced by a character in a pre-industrial society with genuine scarcity of all goods. It hasn't applied for basic consumer goods in western economies in the lifetime of almost anyone currently alive, and even fewer people currently poasting.

Food, yes, of course. But also air travel has got better. So much better. It's got cheaper, safer, more comfortable, easier to book. Onboard offerings are better (food, drinks, wifi!!!). If you think it's got worse, ask yourself if you're comparing to what you remember, or depiction in 1960s media.

They're doing this in the worst possible way, but cabin baggage should always be discouraged, and really should be restricted to things you need during the flight.
