i think, now, more than ever its really important to interact with people who like your art and vice versa, and cultivate more community and trust among artists and commissioners and followers in general. its not a perfect system by any means but i think building trust between everyone will help

Someone I know later found out an artist (16k followers) they got a commision from uses AI and now they don't have funds to commish me or another artist they like. Not only does the slop machine steal art, these scammers directly steal work from real artists

it always shocks me that these types of messages/asks are as common as they are. is it not a universal experience to follow amazing artists that draw characters you don't even give half a shit about? half the artists i follow are in fandoms i've never touched or experienced,,
currently in an exchange college (? if that's the name in english) and man i thought italian people were nice. i think 98% of the exchange students are italian and why are they such assholes here. i expected them to be nicer
