As a former smoker I can say without hyperbole that it was the dumbest, most disgusting habit I’ve ever had. Now when I see people smoke (in media or rl) my immediate reaction is EW. I can’t stand the smell now.
Olivia Hill@machineiv.bsky.social · 3w agoI genuinely hate the push to make smoking a thing again. I have watched so many drawn out, ugly, painful deaths from smoking. It makes everything disgusting. It enslaves us to the worst kinds of corporations. There’s ZERO positive here.
Everything I read now about ceiling fans says they should spin counterclockwise in the summer, to feel the breeze. But last year I switched them all to clockwise because I couldn’t feel the breeze otherwise. I know I’m not losing my mind because I’m sitting under a clockwise fan now & I feel it!
There has been a smoke detector low-battery alarm going off for HOURS in a nearby apartment and it is driving me insane. I’ve been awake since 4:30am because it is a literal torture device.
