I haven’t ridden my ebike in months bc it had a battery issue. Fully charged, it still wouldn’t turn on. Not wanting to spend $1200 I went analog. Today I said it was time to bring it for repair. Checked battery again and miraculously it came back to life!! I’m so chuffed. BRB going riding! 💨 🥹

I did it. I put on a pretty dress and went for a walk. I stayed on the sunny side of the streets and walked along Queen St. up Spadina and into the market and back. I was out for 2 hours! I actually left my apartment and enjoyed the day. I felt so good I even bought vitamins along the way 😇

I misjudged my clearance and clipped a guy’s side mirror w/ my bike one time. I felt so bad. I gave him my name and number. He was young and it was his dad’s car. He sent an estimate for $150 to repair which seemed fair (idk about cars). Money was tight but I felt good paying that debt right away.

I was a little mad but figured it’ll be cheap and I can repair it myself. But today I got a letter from ICBC saying the driver made a report and they’re gonna pay to fix it!
I just tried lentil soup from a Turkish place the other day and it was way so good. I had not heard of lentils as soup before and the owner practically forced me to try it. Thank goodness for living in a city with diverse cuisine

Laying here doomscrolling and Labrynth just started on tv. I’ve never seen it before and didn’t know Jennifer Connelly’s in it. I was not expecting David Bowie to look so pleased with himself at his entrance. He appears at the window smirking like he’s expecting a round of applause to die down 😂🥰
The worst thing about cycling to work is that some days, when the vibe is just so (and it happens often) I just want to keep riding and exploring and it feels like I could bike clear across the country if I were allowed to.
