Old white lady in NC quietly fighting fascism while battling my own incredulity. She/her. I block Nazis.

Still scratching your head over the vilification of a well-groomed, physically fit Black man wearing a well-tailored suit, because…TAN? You’ll appreciate this 🧵 . These duds deserve all the wardrobe shaming piled on them, though being slovenly is the least of their offenses. Yikes.

I’m just so … Exhausted … Demoralized …Overwhelmed by the cruelty and dystopia of these times. And I have tremendous respect & gratitude for Katie Phang, & the countless others who are deep in the trenches, fighting to save us from the Trump regime. Thank you.

I remain undeterred in my fight for the release of the entirety of the unredacted Epstein Files. We just have to keep pushing and pushing them with everything we’ve got.

Whatever one’s feelings about her past activism, when celebs are willingly arrested for using their fame and fortune to highlight injustice, it helps us all; most of us can’t afford, financially or physically, to take that fall. Hate, if you must, but she’s on the correct side of this fight.

Professor Reich lays out a clear plan for the Democratic-lead Congress, when they take over in January. I prefer to hold this vision, and work my arse off to get folks to the polls, than take the defeatist attitude of, “We’re doomed; there’s no hope.” We’re winning this battle. “Bigly.”

How will we clean up Trump's unholy mess? Here are my 10 Commandments for Congress. These are major structural reforms that every midterm candidate should support.

Yeah, yeah; this Old Crone can openly weep at anything, these days, but this ripped me open. How grateful I am for folks like Mayor Mamdani: he is a living testament to how extraordinarily well our country and world function when we come in peace to listen to each other, and break bread together.

As Yom Kippur came to a close this evening, I was privileged to join my friend, Ruth Messinger, at a break fast in her home. It was an honor to celebrate this moment of renewal with many of our Jewish neighbors. May it be a year of justice, joy and peace.
