Life time of living in BC has given me an appreciation for the absurd in politics and real life. Play bridge quite badly. Used to write. Love train travel. Happily married 40 years to man who does not play bridge and hates trains. I don't donate.
The companies sure seem to be saying they don't need a pipeline. Maybe appeasing Smith is not the way forward. It seems like it's a lot of drama. Meanwhile, why aren't producers and govt looking at producing products instead of exporting raw material?

No one I was close to died of COVID, but one very old friend was in ICU for weeks at the same time his wife was dying of lung cancer. But it was all just an over reaction to the flu, right? Usually denial of past horrors doesn't happen within recent memory of the horrors. He's still not doing well
I feel sorry for people who didn't grow up with true boredom. The kind of rainy day in the 70s or 80s with only black & white films on TV, nothing to do on a hot Saturday, or empty time after a school day boredom. There was self discovery, reading, experimentation, play - and joy - in that boredom.

Holy smokes. I had a pharmacist who didn't seem like they knew what they were doing when they filled prescription for my young daughter and I still get the heebie jeebies when I remember about it.

Watched The One Who Got Away. 1957 movie. German POW keeps escaping, finally from Canada. There were a lot of German POWs here. Some came back as immigrants after the war. The last multiple hanging in Canada was when POWs were sentenced to death for killing camp mate who knew Germany had lost.

We had a WestJet adventure in Hawaii. Plane needed a fix. One WestJet employee was everywhere for 2 days - arranging accommodation, telling us what was going on, being hollered at. I don't know if she was paid since she wasn't in air.
