Let us talk about coexistence. How we co-exist with each other, share space, environment, society, values. Do we share all? No. But most of the things we do without even realizing. Then why when we get in a car and start driving we forget that. We forget that we share the space.

We're about to get hit with (yet another) storm here in Edmonton, so here's a shot of one that I caught in Eastern Alberta awhile ago.

The image captures a dramatic and expansive rural landscape under a tumultuous sky. A vast, unbroken field of vibrant yellow flowers, likely canola or rapeseed, dominates the middle ground, stretching horizontally across the frame. The golden yellow hues of the blooming crop create a striking contrast against the intense blues and grays of the sky above. In the foreground, a strip of lush green grass with hints of brown and purple foliage provides a textural separation from the meticulously cultivated field. This grassy verge appears slightly wilder and untamed, offering a natural border to the agricultural expanse. The sky is a central element of the composition, presenting a captivating display of weather phenomena. The upper portion of the sky is a clearer, deep cerulean blue, gradually descending into a massive, dark, and turbulent storm cloud formation that spans the entire width of the horizon. These clouds are heavy with rain, visible as numerous vertical streaks of lighter gray descending towards the earth in several distinct columns, suggesting localized showers or a widespread storm. The darker, more ominous sections of the clouds are a deep indigo and slate gray, creating a powerful and somewhat foreboding atmosphere. On the distant horizon, a thin, dark line of trees or dense foliage is barely discernible, sitting just beneath the low-hanging storm clouds, adding depth to the vast prairie scene. The lighting is diffused and dramatic, with the bright yellow field appearing almost illuminated against the brooding backdrop, highlighting the powerful forces of nature at play. The overall mood is one of awe and the raw beauty of a natural landscape experiencing dynamic weather.
