Honored and excited to receive an #ERCStG! Looking forward to pursuing a research idea I have been working towards for a long time: using speleothems to reconstruct past tropical-cyclone activity and investigate its links to climate variability and extreme rainfall. @erc.europa.eu

For #speleothem experts: We use trace elements (Mg/Ca) to derive semi-quantitative cool season precipitation amount and combine that with stable isotopes 💪. The result shows: dynamic - (not thermodynamic) processes determine precipitation variability.
