My two favorite Nintendo series got new games announced today so naturally this was a 10/10 direct. Everything else could have been an email though.
Reminder to check your PSP batteries often! Mine literally popped out as soon as I took my PSP out of its case and the swelling literally popped the plastic shell off. Yikes!
Caught a local game store slipping bad: Picked up the misprint version of FF7 for $40. It goes for around $100-$150 online. And I used trade credit so it was "free.” One of those things you always check every black label FF7 for and it finally paid off. Just game collecting things.

A lot of people (accurately) point out that premium video games are cheaper today than they were 30 years ago thanks to inflation, but discussed less often is how much bigger the margins are for game companies now that sales are 80-90% (soon to be 100%) digital. No more retail or packaging costs!

Summer Games Fest opened with Resident Evil and closed with Final Fantasy. They bookended that showcase for me specifically. I could not tell you what else happened in the middle that's how uneventful it was. Xbox showcase had a lot of the sauce I'm keeping eyes on. PlayStation's was ok I guess.
