When an editor rejected my story because it was "purposefully confusing" with its Filipino setting, and its use of Filipino words like teleserye and pancit were "alienating" 😆

If you see this, please tell me the worst/most baffling bit of creative feedback you've ever recieved. Mine is still the time somebody told me my aliens had names that were too alien. Not that they were unpronounceable, just that they didn't sound enough like human names.

messed up my shoulder by lifting heavy bags full of books that I was supposed to put on my new shelves, but I am now unable to put the books on the shelves bc of said messed up shoulder. circle of life or smthng like that 🙃

It's strange to receive news that is objectively good & feel ambivalent.
