The irony is strong that even through all the keyboards I own, the one I keep coming back to is the novelty Commodore 64 one because it just has the most beautiful key surfaces and that delicious click. I can type faster with less conscious thought with the feel and the sound.

Thinking about that doctor at the walk-in clinic who, before any of the drama, way back, not only realised "I think this is MS", but she had the stones to actually come up to me, a random patient, and deliver news that she knew would be life-changing in the worst possible way. And she was right.

The thing I love about Matt Smith is that we were all prepared to hate him. Don't lie, yes you were. He wasn't David Tennant and he couldn't possibly measure up. And then he quietly smashed it out of the park, setting us up to feel the same way about Capaldi. And we all know how THAT turned out.

X-Men '97 is SO good, and is such a demonstration of how you do nostalgic media. It's a continuation of the show. Nothing significant fucked with. It's the same DNA, with changes where it can benefit from the passing of time and an adult target audience. The nostalgia is a bonus, not a precept.
