The first 100 inspections have been completed. All were volunteers but the outcomes are becoming clear. Achievement - or should I say attainment - is already the bugbear for schools with challenging catchments. This framework is primed to be a disaster for them. ‘Taking Control 3’ and me can help.

Anonymous Post: This week is shaping up to be quite challenging. I've recently stepped into the role of Deputy Head, but our Headteacher has been signed off due to severe stress and anxiety.

I'm navigating uncharted territory and could use some guidance. What steps should I prioritise to support the school and staff effectively during this period? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A revelation. Too often, cinematic representations kill your idea of a novel, so I approached ‘100 Years of Solitude’ on Netflix with more than just apprehension. This for me is the finest novel ever written. Could it be filmed? Have no fear! I watched episode 1. IT IS REMARKABLE!!!! Wow!! 👍

People with absolutely no experience of teaching a whole class of under 5s pontificating on how it should be done, writing about it and creating schemes of work they wouldn’t be able to implement. I’ve reached the far side of enough with that stuff.
