Aaaaah! I have invested in 10 different Bat designs printed on Wood that can be used as tree ornaments, or keychains, or any decoration that is pendulous! This is one of the demo proofs – I must wait to share for when the manufacturer has created the actual items.

Next up in the @britishecologicalsociety.org Endemic webinar series, we'll focus on reasonable adjustments in the workplace and at university. Both in the field & in the office, being neurodivergent in ecology can be difficult – but there is help!

🚨Women are central to tropical wild meat systems, yet too often overlooked🚨 A new paper led by @jasminwillis.bsky.social, Dr Lauren Coad, @orchiddelirium.bsky.social & @ejmilnergulland.bsky.social reviewed 334 studies across 54 countries, finding women occupy 36 roles, from harvesting to trade.

You read that right- there are now 1,500 official bat species known to science! The Bioko pipistrelle (𝘗𝘪𝘱𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘶𝘴 𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘭𝘢) was found on Bioko Island in Africa’s Equatorial New Guinea by former BCI Student Scholar Dr. Laura Torrent and her colleagues.
