DO NOT COMPLY. When I'm not railing against the criminal administration and the assault on our rights, I like to talk about science fiction, Star Trek, comics, and pop culture.

This was supposed to be my Beatles Rubber Soul Special Edition CD set. But...instead I got an empty envelope. It doesn't look like it was ever sealed. Anyway, a replacement is coming tomorrow. Tomorrow never knows. (I know, wrong album.)

Absolutely thrilled with this glorious book on 2001:A Space Odyssey from Taschen. A beautiful presentation and wonderful photos, artwork, and behind the scenes stuff. And I haven't even read anything yet!

I know the "monster maroon" uniforms were supposedly dyed versions of the STTMP pajama uniforms, but it just clicked with me that Saavik's robe from the turbolift scene in TWOK was probably Ilia's robe, tailored slightly. #StarTrek

Watching Spock mind meld with the probe inside V'Ger, and my photos captured an image of Ilia on Spock's face as he screams. The visuals in STTMP, especially the director's cut, are outstanding.

Was watching a video where a guy was talking about recent casting news for Marvel's X-Men movie, and he said they were looking for someone to play a "Native American male, so that of course brings Forge to mind," and I thought, No, that brings Thunderbird to mind! And realized I am old.

Thunderbird was strong and fast, and kind of a jerk. But I thought he was great. Unfortunately, Wolverine was right there.

Reading the excellent Star Trek IV book by the Tenutos and digging into the whole 'Eddie Murphy almost starred in STIV' story. I had never heard all the details before - we really dodged a bullet! Sounds like a prototype for The Nutty Professor!
