An excerpt from a short story written by TB (tangentburd) for "For The Road", a free digital zine themed around bento and travel, hosted by bycmykae. The excerpt reads: "In the next compartment, Dashi stirs. Yolky-yellow and pillowy, dressed in a shallow pool of golden stock, he peers over the conversation, smile evident from beneath his intricate folds. / 'And how is your grandmother doing?' he asks the little nugget. 'I hope she is having the time of her life as a nourishing meal.' / 'Oh, Popo? She's with Mama now, they're together in a Mapo Tofu packet in a Namsan supermarket!'". The excerpt is framed as part of two ticket stubs under the text title "For The Road".
