Is there a graph or a visualisation of the adoption of every new major technology? I feel that all go smth like this: Scientific discovery (cautious, exciting). Scammers get an early start. Marketing hype. Bust. Widespread adoption of the charred remnants with the bloat burnt off.

It's entirely possible that AI chatbots could someday soon take over much of the scam process as fully independent fraud agents.

I love Obsidian! ❤️ It's a great tool for note management (idk. about "knowledge" 😉) and can be easily used with Git or @nextcloud.bsky.social to keep notes private. Though @joplinapp.bsky.social is IMHO better to sync between mobile and main system - for a lightweight notepad on the go.

Welp I stand to my failures: I did not reach Prague yesterday. Came up short 50 km at Roudnice n.L. All a failure of oversleeping. Still, overall 140 km! Had I left at 0830 as intended I would've made it on time for a fast train back. I dawdled and left at 1015. 📸🧵

I also miss the old Nokia 3310 & 3510, aka "the Bricks". They could survive anything and certainly survived dropping out of my pocket when riding a bike.

Back then, you chose a phone that matched your personality, not just the one with a slightly better camera or faster processor. Modern smartphones are incredibly advanced, but I still miss when buying a phone felt more creative, personal, and full of surprises.

Interesting. I thought the fibres were buried 🤷 That being said, a cut of up to 45% of traffic to the European part of Russia seems significant. I wonder if they'll finally manage to pull the NK approach to internet access for their citizens, as they tried to do multiple times in recent history.
