Godot is cool. Need to extend the editor to fit your workflow? Sure. We created this editor plugin to get a nice overview about the models we use in our game. It's definitely nicer than the file system tab. #godot #screenshotsaturday
We need to reduce draw calls / state changes for @rhythmandgoose.bsky.social , so naturally I've been busy working on a material browser. The previews look bad because it's using #godot s built-in previewer, not using our custom previewer yet. Working on that next. :) #screenshotsaturday
Today's stream had a lil VO work, followed by Blender banana making for rhythmandgoose.com Thanks for hanging out, guys!
With the Building components asset library almost in blender, (Chimneys, deposits, pipes, ...) I star to model some proper shapes for the buildings, and adding such assets on them. These are a few first attempts #indiedev #blender #videogame #citybuilder
#rant #continuation Since this is a web-based project, it naturally didn't build.
I have just found this open source project that didn't tell me how to build it. But it came with a CLAUDE.md that contained all the instructions. I feel weird now.

I have decided to open-source Chordel, my synthesizer and chord trainer for the Ableton Push 2. This has been quite some work - let me know what you think; or if you have a Push 2 and wanna try it. Code: github.com/kai-kuehne/c... #screenshotsaturday #yolo #zlib

I have continued to work on my synthesizer, which you can check out here: kaikuehne.net/chordel/ - This time, I added hot-reloading: This is super nice when working on my UI code, because I can see the changes immediately on the Push screen. #ableton #push2 #screenshotsaturday
I made a synthesizer! This is written in C, using libusb, portmidi, SDL, etc. - the hardest part was to get something onto the screen. I wrote more about this on my blog: kaikuehne.net/chordel/ #ableton #push #synthesizer
Ok now that I have reposted this three times and still forgot the screenshots, here you go. #screenshotsaturday #webdev #html #css
I overhauled my little link/microblog "Found; Not Lost" over at kaikuehne.net/found. I generally prefer light themes; especially this one I've made here. For the dark version, I tried inverting the light variant, but that didn't look good. Feedback welcome. #screenshotsaturday #webdev #html #css

Have used Godot to create a very simple prototype prototype of a SHMUP that's showing two parallel dimensions: The player can only be in one, and you have to switch back and forth. Will see if this turns out to be fun or not. #screenshotsaturday #indie #gamedev #prototype #godot
Ok so as a backend developer, how do you show off your work? Asking for a friend that is asking for his friend.
It's here! The demo for Fortress Flipper by @diannara.dev is available to play! Starting as a simple game jam game (demo) will soon turn into a commercial release. Yours truly composed the music and did the sound design in FMOD. Can't wait to get into the full game! diannara.itch.io/fortress-fli...

I'm working on an oldschool homepage like one I used to have in pre-2000. So I just clicked myself a webhosting account at hetzner for 2$ a month. I can only update my homepage by uploading files via SFTP. I successfully feel like it's 1999. The coolest thing is: it's simple; and it works!
@lana-lux.bsky.social asked for this. Odin + Raylib + Odin id3v2 bindings for the bpm detection. #screenshotsaturday
