I think she realises in the moment that he's probably right, but she doesn't want to back down so refuses to directly address his point and tries to divert the argument onto other talking points. I'm interested to see how she responds after she's had time to reflect.

@libdems.org.uk @eddavey.libdems.org.uk this exactly reflects my experience. I briefly joined X just before the Southport riots and was immediately fed extreme right wing material, peppered with violence and porn. Whatever your reason is for stating on X please read this article and rethink it.

X ceased being a public square years ago, and over the last month, it’s degraded even further. A platform that enables the creation non-consensual sexualised images of women and children cannot be treated as neutral ground - and governments choosing to stay are endorsing it. Enough is enough.

Agree people don’t know what councils do etc. But I also think the public is reasonable enough to question why the local area looks dirty/declining etc while council tax bills have gone up and up and up and up and up. Politically it’s therefore currently ripe for undeliverable promises
