Paladin of balthazar today. I got distracted and attempted a small full body armor sketch while looking at references I showed the prior sketch to the paladin and the group and he posted a gif saying "damn thats HOT" so it sounds like he loves it. i think i will rework the breastplate though #art

Food I made so far this week: a salad for snacking on throughout the week (basically cowboy caviar) and creamy chicken gnocchi soup (made a huge batch of it whoops lol) Both turned out really good imo!

— For too long, I looked for my own path in your footsteps.

A long horizontal canvas featuring several depictions of my ffxiv character Zhai, an au ra woman, at various points within her story. The figures follow one after the other and are depicted from left to right as follows:

1 - (left-facing) - She is a small child, chasing after a woman (her mother). Her mother walks forward, giving no notice to the child behind her. Her mother is backed by a bright red depiction of the red moon Dalamud, as if it is a halo.

2 - she is a child, depicted alone and staring down at bloodied hands and clothing. Her eyes are shadowed.
3 - she is a teen, marching forward even while studiously writing in a tome, her entire focus upon the book. At her heels, a small carbuncle follows.
4 - she is an adult, standing firm with a summoner's tome in hand. She points forward, directing Bahamut Egi into battle, a look of fierce determination on her face.
5 - she is doubled over on the ground, dreadwyrm wings sprouting from her back. Her scales are twisted into more monstrous shapes, and her features are contorted in distress, as if the power is out of her control.
6 - she sits bare on the ground, facing away from the viewer. The scales upon her back are ruined by open bloodied wounds where the wings once were, and one hand reaches tentatively over her shoulder to touch them.
7 - she is armored, pulling herself up from the ground with a greatsword for support, with a ghostly silhouette of Fray standing behind her. This image faces the opposite way, no longer following the memory of her mother.
8 - she marches resolutely (if morosely) forward, bedecked in a dark knight's armor. She is backed by a bright red depiction of the Abyssal Shriek spell, as if it is a halo.
