I will say that basically every facet of my everyday life is something that I am incredibly grateful for. I am so fulfilled and happy in almost every aspect — except monetarily. Embarrassing how much stress not having a job for half a year causes, despite everything else going well.

Every day I hear some shit about how Trans people are just a small percentage of the population, or how the fascists will find someone else to target after they've accomplished their goals re: trans erasure... It all feels like excuses. Our defense must not be contingent on population size.

I really try not to be a "hater" on things people like so long as they aren't harmful or outside the scope of my work, so I'll just say that if you invited me to a Christopher Nolan film I'd probably just tell you I'm really busy that day.

Artists not appropriately labeling their work as adult or nude or whatever is just going to end up meaning I have to unfollow everyone in the space tbh. Just turns my phone into a hazard any time I'm in public or with a kid.

Trying to write about a game, but there is a single element that has bothered me so much I am very tempted to make it the entire crux of the review. Like, yeah, I'm sure some people would want to read about the combat or whatever, but let me tell you about this dumb fuckin character for a bit

Any gaming site editors willing to give a few pointers on what they're looking for in a pitch? I wonder if what I'm putting out there is sending the wrong messages or something. Like, what are the specific things to avoid so my emails aren't just immediately binned

One thing that bums me out about Online these days is that I love reading stuff and discussing it, because I really like having conversations with people and understanding how they think. But the meta right now feels so geared towards judgmental armchair psychoanalysis.

The nature of embargos and stuff means I can never actually update my backloggd when I play/finish games, which means I just forget about it. Will probably just have to do a round up or something at the end of the year.
