Day 3 of #SATBConference: Goodman Makanda joined the NDoH’s Breathe Easy podcast with Hannie, sharing their TB survivor journeys and survivor-led advocacy. He later presented on community-led monitoring in Khayelitsha, highlighting TB Champions as local leaders driving better TB care. #EndTB

On 22 May 2025, community members gathered at the Isivivane Centre for the Know Your Health Awareness Event hosted by Radio Zibonele FM and facilitated by My Zuzu. The event created an important space for learning, dialogue, and health awareness within the community.

At the Global TB Caucus Parliamentary Meeting, Ingrid Schoeman of TB Proof called for urgent action: TB is a social justice issue. We have the policies—we need implementation, community-led solutions, and sustained domestic investment to end TB. #EndTB

On Saturday, TB Proof joined the Kuyasa community for an aerobics event focused on TB awareness. We spoke about TB symptoms, the importance of early TB testing, and TB preventive treatment (TPT). #EndTB.

Today, our TB Champions shared how motivational interviews led by Phumeza and Goodman helped them confront internal stigma, release self blame, and feel supported throughout their TB treatment journey.
