Combolands is pretty dang good, if you're looking for small scale city builder games. Runs are quick, about 20-30 minutes, which is also nice. Much as I love me some Slay the Spire, devoting an hour or more to a single run is kinda... a lot.

Don't know about other castings but I look thru applicants' performances elsewhere to get a feel for them, rather than requesting an audition. Afaik there aren't any like written guides of how to do this stuff tho... I had to ask around!

If ever I wanted to explicate Deleuze, I'd probably use Final Fantasy X. It's got it all: virtual objects; the fractured ego; repression arising from repetition; the contraction, preservation, and rupturing of time... Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if the writers were directly influenced by Deleuze.

Saw a vid of Cantonese chef preparing scrambled eggs with salt, oil, sugar, and chicken bullion in the eggs before scrambling. I didn't have the bullion on hand, but even without it, those were some dang good scrambled eggs.

Getting deeper into the Draw Steel tutorial adventure and I like how tense the combat feels. Granted, some of it might be because it locks abilities behind checkpoints and some of it might be because we went with three casters and a tank, but hey. It's nice to feel in danger.
Today I learned that there are teachers who think "LMNOP" is a problem in the alphabet song, which is woefully misguided, because the actual problem in the alphabet song is obviously Double-U, which needs to be changed to a two-syllable word. I propose uWu.
