Getting to design characters for a murder mystery visual novel set in the Myst/D'ni universe was such a blast, I hope this also sees the light of day someday:

The other (much smaller) game @shoomlah.bsky.social and I worked on near the end of our time at Cyan is shown here (@ 28:07). "WhoD'nit?", a Myst visual novel / Phoenix Wright style murder mystery (and yes you would obviously be able to flirt with all the suspects!) I still really want to make this.

weird to work for some big studios... some people's "dream studio" even and feel like I don't have a place in games idk I think I'm probably in my feelings more than I care to be but I feel so out of place... and like I won't ever get hired again because of my own sensibilities. bleh

Hi everyone, today me and 22 others at Double Fine were hit by layoffs today. All the people who lost their jobs today care so much about the games they make and the people they work with. If anyone is looking for a tools SE with 7 years of experience and who brings baked goods on Mondays lmk.
