Oh, worst bit is, it's not even a complicated mathematical function. If you've done chain rule, you can do backprop. If you can do backprop, you can build a vanilla perceptron. If you can do that, transformers and llms are impressively boring.

Yes they simulate. But they simulate *language*. They do not simulate the cognitive processes underlying communication.

The UK government refuses to release the register of interests of the Prime Minister's main adviser on AI, depsite her being an ex-OpenAI exec. There is obviously a possibility she owns OpenAI shares, and it is vital the public knows whether or not she does. Why will they not release it?

Nudify sites/apps aren't hidden in a secret dark corner of the web. They are promoted on social media all the time, like ads on IG, and apparently even YouTube. There is so much work to be done to combat the cheap and accessible nature of AI nudify/NCII services.
