Waking up at Carn Ingli this morning and making my way down to Newport.
Finished my day of hiking by pitching up my tent at Carn Ingli. They say that if you spend a night here you will wake up either mad or a poet, so let’s check in tomorrow morning 😉🤔
Castell Henllys Iron Age #Hillfort. This place was fully excavated and then partially reconstructed using authentic materials and experimental archaeology methods. Interesting place.
Pentre Ifan Burial #Cairn. Been here many times but it is always special #neolithic #megalithic
Allen Stroud and Juliet E. McKenna are at Bolsover Castle today talking about Margaret Cavendish and Science Fiction. If you are in the area, do come and say Hi! @julietemckenna.bsky.social @englishheritage.bsky.social

Imagine trying to explain to future historians that we are going to drill for oil not because it will actually reduce our utility bills but as a performative gesture because people falsely believe it will.
Here are some of the things to expect from the latest instalment of my Avatars of Ruin series 👀 📕 🩸🗡️
Today is the launch of Blood Ruin, which is my SIXTH novel! 😱 How did that even happen? 😅 📕
Today, we are delighted to publish Tej Turner’s latest book Blood Ruin, the fourth book in his epic fantasy series The Avatars of Ruin, continuing the story of the previous three books in the series (Bloodsworn, Blood Legacy, and Blood War). https://books2read.com/BloodRuin
Just seen The Oddessy… need some time to process, but my initial reaction is that I have *very* mixed feelings about this interpretation.
Had a week away from home and this was the chilli harvest when I came back 😁🌶️
Time for 2021! Thanks for all the 2020 recs, you can expect a shortlist of those early March. For now, what queer SFF out in 2021 (the year we thought Tr*mp was gone lolsob) did you really like? Like A- or above. See my starting list in the pictures and alt text. Please offer idea, please RT!
So what I want to do is, Gaylactic Spectrum style, ask folks to think back to the 6 years the award has not run, and think of what longform queer speculative fiction (novel or novella) you liked for each year from 2020-2025. I'll bung that together with my own reckons to a shortlist & a favourite.
Here it is. My manifesto for the 2026 Clacton By-Election. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Join me, clean up Clacton and let's make 13th August Bin Day! #VoteBinface #VoteyMcVoteface #YesWeTinCan

This advert just came up on my Facebook feed… can you imagine spending £25 on Gregs? “I can’t be bothered to cook tonight, Bae. Want to order something in? We can get 20 sausage rolls and they’ll give us £10 off. What a bargain.”
I am not going to try to be the arbiter of whether it is okay to speak ill of people when they die, but to those who try to sanitise/rehabilitate the legacy of bigoted people, I have two things to say:
Journalists need to start cutting interviews short or asking people to leave when they behave like Laila Cunningham does here.
