Hi, A quick update: we’re still here, and the con is happening in May, but switching payment processors took longer than previously thought. We’re expecting to open membership sales very soon after the New Year’s.

Elisa Kirja shutting down – the availability of ebooks in Finnish probably going to get much worse.

Päivän huono uutinen e-kirjojen ystävälle: Elisa kirja lopettaa (yhdistyy Bookbeatiin). Kirjakauppa suljetaan ja jatkossa on ilmeisesti tarjolla vain lukuaikapalvelua, ja käyttö vain Bookbeatin omalla sovelluksella. Jatkossa kirjojen ostaminen, lataaminen tai lukeminen lukulaitteella ei siis onnistu. (Elisa Kirjan asiakkailla on elokuuhun aikaa ladata ostamansa kirjat omalle koneelle.)

Thought I’d watch a thing on Prime. It tells me I don’t have a subscription. The F*** I don’t. I contact customer support. They tell me my account was deactiveted due to inactivity. Well ok, it WAS two whole days since I last watched something. Good news! They cannot restore the subscription, but I can subscribe again! Only the price is now higher than the one I had. Sorry about that. Nothing they can do. Well‚ I guess I had one too many streaming subscription anyway. Bye, #AmazonPrimeVideo
