my partner and I signed up for Spotify Duo and within minutes Spotify had added this new section to my recommendations???

the only thing worse than listening to a recording of your own voice is READING THE TRANSCRIPT OF YOURSELF from a google meet
“The use of hello as a telephone greeting has been credited to Thomas Edison […]. Alexander Graham Bell initially used Ahoy (as used on ships) as a telephone greeting.” https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hello Should we bring back Ahoy?
Hello - Wikipedia

pretty wild that most states have two senators, but the most populous state in the USA only gets one
TIL that "Latin America" is an extremely literal concept and refers to the American countries that speak languages that derive from Latin - so Mexico, Brazil and French Guiana are included, but Belize, Guyana and Suriname are not https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latin_America
Let's create a thread to help EMEA Tech find each other. Please Reskeet and reply for visibility. Apologies to any of my graph I don't mention. This should help us have a timeline when US folks are asleep. Some of you might not be resident any more, but still have good connections.
just invited a bunch of my pals, can someone send me a link to the hell thread so I can orient them properly?
Oh wow just found out I’m the #BlueSky #HotGuyOfTheWeek. Thank you everyone who voted! #Grateful
it looks like a lot of people here are using their twitter profile pictures to sort of tie the two identities together unfortunately I set my twitter picture to a baby hippopotamus back in october when I was afraid of being perceived (and fired) by elon & I don’t really want to bring that here
it feels surreal that this was just one year ago: • the twitter crypto team going to amsterdam to get eth-pilled at devconnect • reviewing the early bluesky architecture docs on the train ride there • seeing that the elon acquisition was finalized on the way back
Interesting to see the user expectation gap between web2 and next gen. Average users expect to see rapid iterations, meanwhile next gen platform requires coordination between product and protocol layers Will experience this new surface of technical challenge myself, keen to see my own solutions :)
i block someone on my server. ok. where does that information get stored? just my server? then other servers don’t know to respect it. ok, i publish it then. what if the other server doesn’t listen? what if there’s services beyond servers? (there are)
lol I think this Berlin coworking space just turned the wifi off at 7pm
We’re hiring Go and Typescript devs btw. Things are crazy over here, apply if you want to: - write a lot of code - ship fast - juggle protocol and product - be an agentic player on a small tight-knit team - create this thing with us
Trying to lol, hiring is hard as hell
is it annoying or helpful if my first post is a feature request / bug report?
