Wow. The ICE shooter in Maine asked his ex-wife to "to lie for him and to cover for his character." She said he was abusive and had previously reported concerns about him to his military superiors. He was also a volunteer firefighter, but was removed after several spats with department leadership.

It is because members of Congress treat Congress like a country club. A club that “normal” Americans can’t join. They all chum around with each other, even when things like Roe vs Wade gets overturned… since they are living in the country club bubble.

Sitting here thinking today about John Brown, who we laud as a hero today. Many folks in the South considered him to be a domestic terrorist. Mikie Sherrill would have told him to go quietly sit in a field and express his views about slavery "peacefully."
