Ryan Enos@ryanenos.bsky.social · 3h agoThe first law of American politics is that pundits will draw sweeping conclusions from a single, narrowly decided result. A race decided by less than 0.5 percent of votes cast: had it gone the other direction, the headlines would be about the unstoppable force of progressive candidates.
I think when the result is as tight as it was Wisconsin, a perfectly reasonable conclusion is that slender win was not so much ideological as driven by voters who were receptive to the November electability arguments, which was a huge theme in press coverage in the closing days.
Don't jump on me for "promoting" this, but I had this tab open from trying to figure out the mystery "bobble head woman" in the Oval Office the other day. It looks like it's updated pretty sporadically but it's a slick effort to sell MAGA as glam. And unintentionally hilarious in places.

The price tag is much larger than previously reported, according to a Post review of confidential contracts. Taxpayers would cover most of it.

Then he secretly exited the aircraft, hidden inside a catering container. It was an extraordinary subterfuge, aimed at protecting a president who has been in Iran’s cross hairs for years.
