many fandoms over the years, but currently it’s kpop RPF. 30s, she/her

I get pretty ‘measure with your heart’ about beef and barley stew, and barley changes size a lot while cooking, so it’s always an adventure to see if I’ve made beef with some barley or barley with some beef

The nice thing about living in the city is that I can run out at a break in the rain, grab some groceries, and then brown beef for stew over my lunch break The downside is my house now smells like beef and the slow cooker won’t be done for 4 hours

An annoying thing about writing Korean characters in English is that there’s no good way to do the verb forms/implied formality. You can sometimes get away with titles and suffixes, but my impression is they’re a lot more common in Korean and it’s hard to do in English without being stilted

This romance novel’s premise is basically ‘what if the cold hearted aristocrat hero from a regency [think Devil’s Cub] was in fact a cold hearted aristocrat lady’, complete with down on her luck girl having to throw herself on the duke’s mercy

I’m not going to READ the choose your own adventure self insert fic that keeps coming across my dash, but I’m beginning to admire the innovation in the form

there is so much of harem fic and it took me so long to draft that i've forgotten what's in it, and i keep getting surprised by parts i really like (context: hongjoong is the prince, yunho is the first wife, they are friends united with a common goal but are very clear they're not in love)

“Yes, you always seem to find time for Mingi, don’t you?”

“What are you implying?” Yunho asked, low and dangerous.

“I’m /saying/ that you should spend less time hanging out with your best friend and more time doing your job.”

“That /is/ my job,” Yunho said, practically at a yell. “Mingi’s dealing with a huge mess in the currency that might blow up in all our faces and take this whole fucking dynasty down, so anything I can do to help him get through it is worth the time. Unlike your problem, which is that you can’t figure out how to fuck a pretty boy and want to make it my problem!”

“You don’t get to talk to me like that!”

“Yeah? What are you doing to do? Have me dismissed? Executed? Because I fucking dare you to, then you can see how much worse the problem would be if I wasn’t here.”

It was a shocking thing to say, and Hongjoong just stared at him. Yunho stared back, like he was just as surprised as Hongjoong was.

He wasn’t /sorry/, Hongjoong noticed. Shocked, but not apologetic. If anything, his jaw seemed even more set in his anger at Hongjoong.
