I hope Vic State Library makes tonight's interview of Amy Remeikis by Hannah Ferguson available online for all to watch as it was phenomenal. So many takeaway messages but essentially: nice doesn't not equal good/decent. Being nice doesn't fix all the shittiness in the world. Be an active ally.

Morning! Small team at work today but absolutely fine since it's a bunch of mature people who come to work to work and there is structure and processes that are followed ❤️
The person who replaced me in my old team (and who just quit, for all the same reasons as me) is meeting me for coffee tomorrow for a debrief, I cannot tell you how vindicated I feel. I've baked for the occasion: chocolate coconut cookies. That toxic dysfunctional team can GET FUCKED 🥰
As we recall the trauma caused by COVID in 2020, we should not forget COVID continues to harm. Many still suffer from Long COVID, people who mask are often harassed, and we haven’t scaled clean air infrastructure. If we truly acknowledge past harms, we should be working to create a better future.
A different crowd? Yeah, no toxic men. I don't even follow AFLW but would love to have gone. AFLW All-Stars and Ireland delight a different type of sports crowd: ‘There’s nothing quite like it’ www.theguardian.com/sport/2026/a...

Another sewing project wrapped up! The barrel skirt from Sewing Therapy. Eight panels of construction. This fabric is very light so you don't see the subtle barrel shape. Keen to make it again in a heavier fabric.

I know there are many reasons to leave a job but holy heck I am cackling at the news of my replacement in my old team already quitting (less than three months in). I wonder if anything will change in that team .... Doubt it.
