I've really enjoyed 'The Hairdresser Mysteries' with Sally Phillips on the Beeb...but now I can't get over the idea of a mash-up of that with Hot Fuzz - the idea that English Market Towns are hotbeds of murder, conspiracy and tea-shops!!

Just seen the Odyssey - it's very good but Damon isn't really a great Odysseus or doesn't fit my version of him. But it's a great spectacle, I liked the Ithaca scenes not just the set pieces. I'd love to see someone do the full thing tho - I'm hear for a six hour film

Finished watching Sentinels yesterday - I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to a second series. I think the openness that we have to foreign language drama these days is very refreshing. Netflix really shifted the dial on my viewing habits. And it is great to see the BBC embracing this also

It's great to see that newcomer Paul McCartney getting a Mercury Nomination - I always thought that it was a shame that his first band didn't get a nomination. But this recognition of his solo stuff - good stuff!!!

Worked with someone who moved to Dubai because they were fed-up of how cold this country is and that we never get proper summers - they've come back to spend the summer with their parents. They can't wait to go back to Dubai - because this country so f-ing hot!!

UEFA should create 'The UEFA Invitational Cup' - the countries of the Globe are invited to compete in a multiphase tournament where teams represent every part of the Globe in a competition based on fair play and global equity.

We went to see Toy Story 5 yesterday - I went in somewhat ambivalent about what the messaging was going to be - especially from the posters. Was it going to be that all tech toys are evil? Was is going to be that online life is bad and parents should keep their children away?

Under a Binface government, anyone who doesn’t accept human-made climate change as fact will be sent back to school, from Year 1 right the way to A Levels, to see if anything goes in the second time round. #VoteBinface
