Border patrol agents have entered private property in Lochiel Az, without showing a warrant I’m told, to remove people who have been camping there. They’re also setting up an exclusion zone around the tree that’s being defended.

But an increasing proportion of arrests have been made by local law enforcement in partnership with ICE, via 287(g) agreements. In many regions, it can be difficult to know when local officers are conducting routine policework or immigration enforcement. In many cases, they are doing both.

A chart showing immigration arrests by local police, which have increased steadily since ICE's new enforcement strategy began in April 2026, reaching its highest amount above 200 arrests per day in late June 2026.

Gone are the mass raids and militarized metro operations. Gone are the pomp and pageantry. But ICE arrests have hit record levels. ICE operations are no longer concentrated in large American cities. Immigration enforcement officials are also working in suburban and rural areas, all across the US.

A map of the United States that shows immigration arrests per 100,000 people since ICE's new enforcement strategy began under DHS secretary Markwayne Mullin.

ICE added another 31 agreements to its 287(g) list today, which puts us at +186 for August. July saw more signups (198) than any other month in the program's history, barely bumping June 2026 (197) for that record. 581 agreements have been signed since June 1, more than any other 3-month period.

"What’s happening, after all, is pretty simple: Tech companies have encroached into Americans’ personal lives and public spaces, with both development projects and #surveillance products, and people find the tradeoffs unacceptable. It’s really not complicated." #deflock

With the backlash to data centers, Flock and AI glasses, a mass opposition to big tech is underway. Silicon Valley is in denial.

The backlash against data centers is difficult to understand if your salary depends on your not understanding it.

y'all, it's been a hard enough week. RIP Dolly and so much more. could the left authoritarian tankies and shitlib 50501ers just cool it for like a few days, please? like i just need a minute without all the ways you make liberation, abolition, and building a new world so. much. harder. 😞

"It’s not even debatable whether fascism will be defeated with pragmatic governance or that the attraction many people have to it is about relentlessness. You cannot treat what we’re up against so tolerably or simply believe it can be governed away." yes! ty!

What does “governance” do for people who use it as a synonym for concessions? Pragmatic governance will not defeat fascism, writes @williamcson.bsky.social in “Another way out.” Some people act as if they have to work with fascism, letting it grow into the unstoppable beast that will devour them.

yea, these things never work. can we please stop organizing for things that have already failed many times over?

Incredible, dedicated reporting from @zoetakaki.bsky.social on what’s looking more and more like regulatory capture by police. “In total, seven separate groups and agencies are now tasked with holding 11,500 police officers ‘accountable’ in some way. The CCPSA…has been wrought with dysfunction.”

“We will not back down, we will keep doing what we have been doing all these years and we will do whatever is in our possibility to counter the false allegations made by a politically desperate administration with the sole intention of swaying people & media attention away from their own violence…”

Autistici/Inventati explain their values and goals in their manifesto:
We believe that communication must be free-and for free-and, therefore, universally accessible.
We try to accomplish all this by offering internet services (web sites, e-mail, mailing lists, chats, blogs, newsletters, and more) using our best skills and knowledge to defend both individuals or groups sharing our same aims or ideals. [...]
We believe that media and communication should not be the exclusive domain of information professionals. We believe in the value of self-management: this is why we have no sponsors or funding of any kind, apart from voluntary donations from those who believe that our project is important and must survive. None of us earns a cent from this project (in fact, quite the opposite).

ICE has fallen out of the headlines but July marked the largest number of migrant detentions ever on record. Five migrants have died in ICE custody in the last two months. It's also currently impossible to legally migrate to this country, as 100% of visa applications have been paused.

"And these cameras? They come down when a few brave souls cut them down, and they stay down when there’s a massive wave of popular support. When the state realizes its legitimacy is on the line. That’s when they concede to the people."❤️‍🔥Online and in our daily lives, let's all commit to this support!

It does not matter how low his polls drop. Donald Trump has no intention of leaving power voluntarily. Those who don't want to live under Trump indefinitely need a concrete plan to make sure he cannot continue to rule by force. "Vote harder" isn't a plan, it's a prayer. crimethinc.com/soundandfury
